no network on dbod

can anybody help i have bought a sagem dbox2 from guess where ? thats right EBAY but when i conect it to my computer with crossover cable the computer can see the network and the dbox doesnt it says no network
and there is no ip adress

What ip address is your dbox using. You can check via Dbox key on remote, settings network

Give your pc an address like 192.168.0.1 and the dbox 192.168.0.2 subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
