iPhone no carrier option ?

I jailbreaked a mates 1.14 Iphone a little while ago , he has given it back to me as he wants to sell it but it now has no carrier option i.e. I can't select the carrier from a list as I can with mine which I did the same way

I have downgraded to 1.14 again and jailbreaked it but same thing...no carrier option

anyone have any idea's please ?

Only way I know is to restore then re-jailbreak.

Must have installed something then when they removed it it didn't restore the original info.

Right I got it sorted in the end for anyone who gets a similar prob here's what I did

Turns out that he must have updated to the 2.0 software and upgraded the baseband , I had to get an app called "Ziphone patched" , this allowed me to downgrade the baseband to an earlier version , i then restored the phone in itunes 7.5 to the 1.14 software and then used Ziphone to jailbreak it
