iam on tw 10meg and using grabit and newsdemon and doent seem to go above 3meg ive installed newsleecher with the tw own newsgroup and newsdemon and iam maxing right out anyone know if theres a limit on what speed u use with grabit or newsdemon

which package are you subbed to m8? i'm on economy unlimited 8 connections it used to be full speed but it's down to about 400k/sec ;(

same mate iam sharing 4 conections with my mate was maxing out on 2 meg when i had it

im using newsdemon and getting good speed 776 k con on virgin adsl

Many ISPs are now giving low priority to peer to peer packets on their network. If there is any contention on their network they will drop peer to peer packets to allow other traffic ( web, email etc.) to go through. The effect of dropped packets is retries and hence slower peer to peer downloads.
