New Year Bug

Hey all,

prob not the best time to ask as i'm sure theres many a brain out there that is too sore to work ...

anyway i'm wondering if there is a new year bug?
went to bed last night and all working ok dm800se dbuk v.2.1 i think
came down this morning and only fta is on

epg all gone so try to reload and its defaulted to internal flash
also when in softam manager wont even let me select mgcam.....

tried deleting ccam and mgcam and reloading .... no joy


any suggestions

Did you delete the epg.dat from the internal flash?
Its probably full and interfering with the cams

not done that Wiz but wil do it now been out doing the rounds..
I have 120gb drive in as well and epg config wont let me select it...??

CrossEPG either seems to work fine forever or in some cases keeps falling over every now and then,
I have two boxes running it and it never misses a beat (touch wood lol),

Our own member IamATeaf has done some modifications to the code which are in the latest version or else you can find them on here,in the crossepg thread,

hi wiz tried that and nothing so went to reflash using ip address ... got it started up then stupidly tried to update image whilst looking for rats channels in the settings...
now the screen went black and when i reboot the wee blue light is flashing???


tried to relash again and when i do so i cant get the flash screen at all but rather this

any help would be great... have i jammed the bl@@dy box?

Dont think so. Web browser or mini usb i believe

aaaarrrgghhh well i think im pumped then cos web browser aint playing the game and not got mini usb

well its not completely screwed!! booted again and after the startup screen i have a black screen.. blue flashing light on the front of box??
but can now talk to box via FTP on idream x
.......
and it appears to keep trying to load..

Any fix?

got it sorted via USB Mini Flash!!

not sure if theres a Tutorial on here already with regards to sorting boxes via USB mini so here's one i found on another site which may be of use to people

- Download latest original firmware for your dreambox

- Connect the dreambox via usb

- Connect the dreambox and the pc via ethernet to a router

- Launch dreamup and choose extras / recover bad sectors

- Choose the port com of your dreambox <=> PC

- Select choose network and fill IP address of your pc and dreambox

- Click on connect

- Power on the dreambox

- When ready, launch firefox (Not IE 9 else it won't work)

- Type IP address of your dreambox

- Choose firmware upgrade

- Browse to your original firmware and choose flash
