New Method??????

Got told this by a bloke at work, don't know what card he has or how box is done but he says it works everytime his box goes down.
1) disconnect mains
2) press 2 middle buttons and connect mains feed
3)goto page 2 (net id)
4)goto page 7 (card status)
5)goto page 12 (signal green)
goto page 10(tv)
then he says card or box updates new keys, anyone heard that before ,he dont seem to do anything just moves from page to page. very strange sounding to me

ask him to do that with a atr fooked mosc card....lol

sounds like instead of going to channels to update

he moves slowly from page to page in eng menu and while its doing that the box is connected to feed

so it recieves new keys

probably using a au funcard

or somthin

well he dont know what it does but insists it works, you could be right but it happens evrytime keys roll and au card should not need that time to update. curious and curiouser lol

but depends

my au fun can take about 10 - 30 mins to update

but i noticed if i stick it on channel 400 it updates in 5 mins or less

but i dont think him going to eng menu will give him some advantage

not right ......lol

ask him which card he using
