Morning all, as the title says im after a new one but it has to be quiet and for amd x2 sckt 939 this Zalman i have now is like a whirlybird on take off, i have had thermaltake as well not overly impressed, so what do you lot use and what are your opinions.

Arctic Freezer Pro mate, best and cheapest one I've used. Had one for my 939 Opteron 170 and now got one on my 754 Q6600. Much better than the stock and fairly quiet, provided you don't want to overclock it too much.

Scythe make some very quiet coolers, worth looking into also.

Your best bet is to look at a couple and Google them to see what others say about the noise.

i use Arctic Freezer Pro on one of my pcs not had any probs , runs quiet and does a good job keeping the processor cool

Arctic freezer here, on an AMD 5000 'Black' over multiplied to 3.02 GHz.
