We have all heard of these new channels but thought I'd add the info in one thread.
=SKY THREE launches 31st October on Freeview and Satellite. http://www.skypressoffice.co.uk/SkyProductsServices/News/newsletter/OCTOBER 2005UK.html#1362
The new channel will be free-to-air for those with UK freeview and it is widely expected to be Free-to-view on satellite meaning that you will require a FTV card the same as channel4 and channel5.
=ITV4 launches 1st November and was announced before Sky announced their new channel launch , but of course Sky cant let ITV have the same success as they had with the launch of ITV3. The new ITV4 channel will be free-to-air on both UK freeview and satellite.and is believed that this will be the date of ITV1 and ITV2 also being available free-to-air.
=More4 launches Monday, 10th October. This will be free-to-air on UK Freeview and Satellite which perhaps shows Channel4's long term plans to make all of its channels widely available free, just like E4 has become on UK Freeview.
This competition for free-to-air viewers between the top broadcasters can only be good for us general public, especially those that are just not interested in Pay TV.
Regards
