depends what you want it for.....it will get some packages.....but most which are open now will cease by august i suspect...if not earlier. but who knows there may be something else on the horizon......the TM 5400 is a good start for a beginner to get into it, but for an advanced user a dreambox would probably be better.

The 5400 is a stable well supported simple box that is very popular. The 9100 is none of them.
However, the 9100 does provide massive frustration unreliabilty and a general hatred of sat receivers, so it all depends what you are looking for in this hobby :).

get a Eagle Linux box for about £80 then and 1m dish and motor should be about £240 max!

£55 Motor
Bracket £15
Cable £1m x ?? (depends on distance!)
Dish and LNB £70
Eagle Linux £80

works out less than £220 if cable isnt to long a run

bet ive forgot something though!

installation is pretty easy! just get cheap sat beeper for aligning to 1w
