need help with a 120 ambit

im a beginner in modem cloning. i've followed the tut and ive done search for macs then build a max233. but whan i start hyper terminal and plug in my modem i get this massage

its a new firmware on it m8.....you will need to reflash the firmware to pre-update

how do i preflash it please

first delete the mac from your post before ntl or cable company get it, and track it down to the previous owner (or yourself it it was sub scribed!)

then it's difficult to reflash a modem chip as you have to unsolder one of the ships, but a programmer (£40ish) and re flash with the old software
