am trying to replace the drive in my xbox 1. It stopped booting and when I ftp in there is no F drive, where all my games were stored.

So I've got a spare drive and backed up the following files

bios
disk
eeprom
hddinfo
hddkey

Where do I put these files. I remember before that I had to copy them to the evox installation disc, but can't find any reference to this anywhere.

I can get evox to make the partitions and install, but it just boots to the xbox dash.

I'm using slayers auto installer 2.7

Any help appreciated

Unless your xbox is chipped, you are going to have to use a hard drive that is locked with the correct key from your motherboard.

I've never had much luck locking a drive use a PC, you have to use a linux boot CD and a IDE motherboard that supports IDE drive locking. Easiest thing was to use a chipped xbox to do the locking. In which case you can the chipped xbox for partitioning and setting up the drive at the same time.

Forgot to add that the xbox is already chipped Xecuter 2 mod.

Slayers should set up everything you need then. If its chipped then you don't need any of those folders.
