Back in the day did the sat and D2mac and gold wafer card

Then after that, you had to play about with dragon cam

And slap the Bliss keys in ect

Trying to get TV Markisa (Slovak TV) for the burd, she has been nagging me for 15 years lol
Can you imagine being on nag level 9/10 for 15 years - all my hair has fallen out...

Bought it 2007 I think and never used it - pretty sad actually and a waste of cash dlol

Just chucked my Virgin sub so looking to play about with Freesat!

Am off to Currys to check out the Satellite enabled tellies and have a laugh!

As i was saying epg depends on what provider services give,using openvix images.

Superb Cacti so I need Hotbird to get Slovak tv that clears that up then.

Thats it for me then Openvix it is thats a nice epg 100 times better than the old Skybox F3 rubbish I had previously!

So its a VU+ Solo2 with Openvix then would you say thats a good choice?

Solo2 is an excellent choice. Vix well it is fully featured so for Newbies yes.

How would you rate Openpab tv?
It came on the Zgemma and did look quite nice with the Virgin skin.
Never seen it before!
If it had worked of course.

But on youtube Wooshbuild is recommend for using the secondary connector with an old Virgin line?

OpenPab do you mean ipab ? No longer supported.

Wooshbuild does have a lot of fans im not one of them.

I prefer to run OpenPLI or OpenAtv and just install what i need to keep the image nice and light.

Yeah I am the same with my mobile phones and some of my computer gear.
The less services and installs the less chance of viruses, more memory and cpu power for the main system.

Well yeah, for me it's just features im never going to use that puts me off images. Or over elaborate ways to reach menu options when standard e2 menu paths are far simpler.

TV Markisa its the main free channel in Slovakia they only have 5 channels for free its a bit like us 20 years ago with our 3 channels lol

Any build on its own will not allow access to encrypted cable channels, for that you will need to dig deeper
