Hi, can you help?

I buy my NDS games on a disk which I extract with winrar on to my PC, then transfer them on to my 2GB Ncard via USB. It all works fine, I can get 15 games on, should I be able to get more on? I've seen people advertise the Ncards with 50 games on.

Thanks

My son has a 2Gb SD Supercard in his, he can get around 40 games on his, depends on the size of the games though, but on average he hits 40 games no problem, sometimes more sometimes less.

Is your memory card perhaps 2Gbit as apposed to 2Gbyte?

The game size averages between 32kb & 65kb

How do it tell if my card is 2Gbit or 2Gbyte?

Have a look at the card, if it says it is 16GBIT then that equals 2GBYTE as there are 8 bits in a byte, if the card displays 8GBIT then it is a 1GBYTE card.

Would be helpful if you could give me the full name of the card and possibly tell me where you bought it - if you bought it online.

Sounds liike it may be a 2GBIT card which equals to a paltry 256kb

The size of each NDS game depends. It could be 8mb, 16mb, 32mb, or even over 100mb. I have a 2gb on mine, and it fits around 25 games. I think this is more than enough, because anytime I need to change it; I just remove it and download some new ones.

As curly said, if you google search 'dash roms', it will provide you with a ton of NDS games for free download via rapidshare, megaupload and something else I can't remember. Anyway, I think that's the best site for free NDS roms out there as it's updated more or less everyday.

I bought the card from

http://www.buyr4ds.co.uk/product_details.php?item_id=132

And I can't tell if it's a 2Gbit or 2Gbyte

Can you?

Thanks for all replies it's really helpful to a newbie girl

Your answer is on the post
Ive never seen the card in question
But as said ive seen games 200mb+
So how may games depends on the games
But i must say the lower ratio 1 is used a lot less nowadays
This is all a case of add up the mb its prob right
Cos theres a almost 1mb .sav for each game

How can she hyjack the thread ??? She started it lol

@Claire, you should be able to get 50 games on there, but as said, you must have a lot of the larger sized games.
Oh, leave 512kb for each .sav file. This is the save file created by the DS for each game.

if its an r4 card
try using the r4 trimmer program

doesn't affect any of the game.
when you look at the file you d/l it will be 8/16/32/64/128mb and so on.
r4ds trimmer just takes away the crap.its not like shrinking a game,.
