Phone Unlocking N95 8gig

Hi Chaps

I have just got a new N95 8gig, the phone is unlocked and i am using it on orange bur the phone was origionly on 3 and has 3 specific software installed

Is there any way i can change the soft / firmware to somthing else like the origional nokia

what version of firmware you got on it m8 ?
Find out by pressing *#0000# and it will display your current firmware.

if it aint the latest one then you can change the product code on it to a generic one then just use nokia software updater as normal.


The Euro1 code is 0549487.

Thanks very much for the information.

I have hit a wall if anyone can help. The latest version of the Nokia software updater is not vista compatable and the software will not continue unless you upgrade.

so unless there is another way of updating the firmware i am stuck untill nokia sort out an update.

many thanks for all the help, In case anybody else is trying to do this to make your life a lot easyer use a XP based pc to re flash the phone.
