Didn't want to start a new thread as I'm sure the unconverted get bored of the biking threads.

Just completed (this morning) a 31 mile route involving, some road, some canal towpath, and a lot of Pennine hills.

2100 in ascent/descent

4 hours 15 mins

Im buggered.

Ive got leg muscles!

road from my house via rochdale canal, to Healey Dell and did the Healey Dell circular (HERE), then went to hollingworth lake, and decided I was still feeling frisky and took the bridal path up to piethorne reservoir. Then back to the canal, and home for tea.

That bridal path is a killer.

Cool.

Looking on me memory map I was in whitworth which is exactly on the otherside of them nice big hills where you are.

I might venture over them and back next time.

Any places/routes I should take a look at?

Ramsbottom, to holcome hill then back up to the new wind turbines down to owd bets and back to ramsbottom. About 21 miles, good fun:)
