my AP ip address ?

What are you trying to do on the new hub 5 ?

If you're using an Asus afterwards put the hub 5 in modem mode only
Nah need wireless on hub5 as kids are on their laptops upstairs in bedrooms...anyway all sorted..I just need my ap at the end of the house downstairs as signal ftom hub is weak. I use the ap in the room downstairs also use a direct ethernet connection to my firecube via a powered ethernet port switch 👍

Hey guys..can I still use my asus router as an AP because I'm thinking of ditching virgin media and going with grain broadband..not sure what wireless router grain will give me...? Ta

you can couple of points to consider for configuring the Asus as an AP

- disable DHCP on the Asus router
- disable the WAN port on the asus router (if possible)
- set the LAN IP address to be on same subnet as the Grain broadband
- obviously connect the Asus router route to the Grain broadband router - cable from LAN port on Asus router to Grain broadband router

Will do , in two minds now, go with grain or stick with vm , contract ends this weekend, no calls from vm with better offer , was thinking of ringing
