Phone Unlocking motorolla v 300

I have just bought a motorolla v300 it was used on contract but the bill wasn't paid does anyone know how i can unlock it from O2 to Vodafone? I have tried to put another sim card into the phone but it says enter password

Have you tried it with a different SIM card? All of the contract O2 phone I've tried have been unlocked already.

i have tried a few sim cards but none of them work in the phone
