Motorbike Protest - 25/9 - M25 Other way round ...

Do you think it's fair that the same people who brought this charge in also awarded themselves free borough-wide parking?

No its not right, but irrelevant really to the protest. The paying system is absolute pants but the protest is about getting free parking in Westminster for bikers, they get free parking in most places but thats not enough for them, they want it everywhere.

What about the fact that the scheme is loosing us tax/ratepayers £430,000 a year to run, while making the private comapny running the pay-by-pants-phone system a VERY healthy profit (millions)?

And this council decision surprises you why ???. The always do things arse about face and lose us money. Still not grounds for bikers to park free.

I have said before, if the protest is about a different and fairer way to pay, better conditions for the bikers to park and lock stations for their bikes...then I wish them luck...unfortunately it is not about that and as you can see from others posts...it will antagonise other road users.

This is in UNDER 3 WEEKS people :)

Had the A406 protest yesterday which was pretty good, again not holding up traffic unless it could not be helped with single lanes etc..

So, South Mimms on 25th September.... Leaving at 10am to go anti clockwise .... so assemble 0900.
