Carry On's
Life of Brian
Jaws 1 (rest are crap)
The great escape
Kelly's Heroes
Indepenence Day (cheesie but good effects and feel good factor)

There is that unfathomable predilection for watching films on terrestrial TV isn't there?

Strange, you just can't look away.

I love film, and will watch virtually anything. But ones you will watch over and over again? It's got to be the comedys:

Woody Allen's oeuvre

Ditto Python's, Mel Brooks et al. (I used to be able to recite 'Blazing Saddles' word for word, then I found sexual intercourse).

I can also slide into the classics whenever im flicking through the channels ('turner classic movies' is brill for this):

Citizen Cane
One flew over the cuckoo's nest
To kill a mockingbird
Dr Strangelove
2001
Etc Etc.

If I was to pick one straight up. It would have to be Star Wars: A New Hope (from the ages of 5-22) Easily over a hundred times.

One i allways watch when it comes on even though ive seen it a number of times is Goodfellas

Diamonds are forever
Goodfellas
The Shawshank Redemption
Jaws
Star Wars
Indiana Jones - The Last Crusade
A Bridge too Far

To name but a few :)

Other films I used to watch time and time again on video were.

Skin Deep
Midnight Run

Most watched films are probably

Rocky
Terminator
Bond...

Just because they are repeated on TV soooooooooo many times each year, there are a couple more that really irritate me because they are on all the time but I cant remember their names, lol

Far too many and practically impossible to give a definite answer but I like these...

Dawn of the Dead
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Cat in the Hat
The Haunting
2 Girls 1 Cup

There's just something about British comedy films that can't be beat for me, more classics i always watch.
On the buses
Steptoe and son.
But i must admit the Airplane films had me crying and you can spot something funny in the background happening everytime i watch them.

@Paul-K the original one is still the best :licka:
