I apologise if this is either obvious or a sticky but could someone tell me if the spiderbox needs to be connected to a PC for streaming from a server or could it be stand alone with a wifi ethernet bridge?

The "Gift" - is it free for a year from purchase date or some other date?

Is there a better reasonable or free reliable card share server?
(it is probably against the rules to name one so maybe you could point me in the right direction cryptically like)

the spiderbox need to be connected to internet.
you could plug directly into modem or through router .
If you are connecting to local server you would use router.
I would suggest you try google for the other answers

the gift is one year from the date you decide to activate it some users have had their boxes for several months and have not yet activated the gift when or if they decide to then the year will start from then
