moden disconecting

hi guys ,I cloned my modem with my brothers acoupleof days ago he stays about 1/2 mile away from me but my modem keeps disconnecing and i cant get on any suggestions

get your mac from about 5 miles away that should do it as it looks like a close gate way

cloned modem with someone who live 5 miles away but after it goes online 20 seconds later it resets and activity light is on only

do u have to change config files as well as mac add

you got to be in house 5 miles away and scan for a mac,
but why are we saying this.
cos even those macs are being kicked off.
i got a lesson in wifi sniffing macs the other day.
Gonna try sunday hopefully.
