Modem zapped - can N*L find me?

My clone modem got zapped by N*L this week (I don't pay a subscription) and the missus is worried sick that Mr N*L is going to come knocking on the door!

Is there any way they can find out where the clones are physically located in their network?

I suspect not, but I would like some confirmation so that I can put her mind at rest (and mine!).

well the can see the mac but if its cloned they will see 2 modems on the same mac and only have the adress of the bill payer for the modem u cloned hope that helps

Its probable that in doing this update they could have put "something" in like the back door that is being talked about.
If the modem is left connected and powered up then it could be talking back to the network and that could make it traceable.
They can locate it to a street cabinet then look for the coax connection transmitting. The coax takes them to your house.

Maybe that is unlikely but it is possible. I've removed my cloned modem from connection.
