Modem OFF

A freind who is subscribing to NT* broadband's modems ready light doesn't seem to come on, spoke to another freind who lives in the same area & his Modem is doing the same, I brought modem back to my place & tried it but it still doesn't work yes Im a subscriber also, any ideas why these modems have gone off there defo Legit boxes, by the way my modem works fine
