Ok I have a HD copy of Repo Men in MKV format. It plays fine thru Media Player Classic on my laptop but won't play on my plasma via my USB stick because the TV doesn't support DTS audio. I have an audio convertor but when it does the conversion the new file has suddenly got subtitles showing up on screen. I downloaded MKVtooknix and a GUI for it and extracted the subtitles or so I thought because everytime I convert it the subs are back. Am I doing something wrong? or can you NOT remove the subs?

TIA

Using: mkvmerge v4.1.1 ('Bouncin' Back')

load your file, click on A_DTS(ID3 etc etc)
then click 'extra options'
then click on the drop down box beside compression and select 'none'
start muxing

Ok m8 cheers for that, the only problem I had was that the extra options was greyed out along with everything else on the bottom of that page. I just unticked the box for the subtitles and remuxed, now playing without the subs
