in mg_cfg. du you hav box type set to 00 autodetect or 02 for dreambox?
See my earlier post for the mg_cfg I use. I don't have any problems with my Solo2.

I have the slightly older newcamd installed 1.35 is it?

As Abu has mentioned it should be 06.

What is CWS_KEEPALIVE for and what is the best value to have?

It keeps polling the cws line so it doesn't drop out,which can happen with mgcamd when watching a fta channel,

I usually set it to 30 iirc

Thanks for that.

Is the time secs or ms? What happens if I have a different line from another provider, would that confuse it and it would constantly try and switch between them both causing glitches?

Its in secs m8,

I have never used multiple lines in mgcamd so cannot,with any certainty, answer your last query,sorry m8 :)

Thanks, I've just setup the Edison Mini OS with Vix. Just the line setup to go.

Its not as silly as you think....it would make much more sense if you read the rules...which you havnt otherwise you will know your spam posts wont count towards your 5 USEFUL posts.

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 60
CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000

seem to be hit and miss depending on box type normally ill remove these lines from newcamd.list

ill give it a go its been ages since I have had to do anything but am messing with an old azbox today cheers

Tagging on the end of this. What is the best MGCamd; 1.35a or 1.38? Does the selection of which one have a bearing on the mg_cfg file?

I will apologise in advance for hammering this thread, as I am after the downloads in this thread!

Just on this, I am running a Solo2 on Openvix 5.3.018 using MgCamd 1.35a as I find 1,38 glitchy. Is this the same for other Solo2 users?
