does anybody kno if a nokia data cable will do the same job because i have read somewhere that it will or have i been had.

dont think so m8 as a nokia cable is called a m2bus cable goto your local components shop and get a max233 ic if you email me with subject MAX233 LEAD i will send you a circuit diagram the only component you need is the max233 ic a old floppy power connector and a serial dsub connector its very striaght forward and very easy to construct very very cheap
