ACTRESS Christina Applegate has told how she had to make the terrible decision to have both her breasts removed after being diagnosed with cancer.
In an interview on US television, the 36-year-old star of Married With Children said it seemed "the most logical" treatment.
She added: "After looking at all the treatment plans, the one that was going to work for me was to have a bilateral mastectomy."
She revealed that the surgery three weeks ago was a success. Christina said: "I'm absolutely 100 per cent clear and clean. It did not spread, they got everything out."
She said she will now have reconstructive surgery over the next eight months.
Christina, who stars in US sitcom Samantha Who?, joked: "I'm going to have cute boobs until I'm 90."
