Maps on TomTom Go 530

Hey guys

I would like to update my UK map and also add a map to cover Florida for when I go. How can I go about doing it on this unit?

hiya mate, last time i did mine which was a tomtom version 3 i used this, but was a while ago now so maybe a newer way of doing things, just backup your tomtom so at least you know you got a working backup, View attachment AutoActivate_01.03.2011.rar

its so simple mate - heres what i normally do

1. back up your tomtom unit...just in case
2.erase everything on your unit
3.format your unit
4. hook unit up to tomtom home and let it install the prefered navcore for the go530 ( will do this a few times..)
5, install latest version of autoactivate onto the root of the unit
6. let autoactivate patch the navcore ( should be an option in there)
7. restart unit
8. install uk and ROI map
9. run autoactivate and patch the map
10. restart unit
11. same patching can be done for celebrity voices, and speedcams....or simply transfer the two voices from yr backup

this is all from memory as i havnt done mine yet for some time..hope that helps.

What version have you got at the moment, I had hosted 885.4059 if this is newer than what you got a reactivate the link.

Thanks for replies guys and to edogg for the pm. Now have navcore 9.430 installed and map 890.4234 with latest post codes too
