They will play the winners of the FA Cup...however, you can’t play with yourself
soo, if City win the Fa Cup.. the team who finished second place in the league would default into the Charity Shield as opponents for the league winners.Basically.

City are in a bit of a pickle regards to transfer dealings, there is a very very high probability that they will be banned from next years Champions League. In which instance the CL spot will fall to the team who finished 5th.
But there’s a twist, Arsenal win the Europa league final and they automatically qualify for CL, meaning that the CL slot would fall to the team who finished 6th.
