Man Utd stay top of wealth league

Manchester United have been named the most valuable team in the world, by Forbes business magazine.
United (£740m) retained top spot ahead of Real Madrid (£528m) and third-placed Arsenal (£466m) who nipped ahead of AC Milan, with Chelsea (£274m) in eighth.

Barcelona's Ronaldinho (£15.2m) leapfrogged David Beckham (£14.8m) to become the highest earning footballer.

However, Beckham's lucrative move to Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy was not taken into account.

Five of the players in the richest players' list ply their trade in the Premiership - Wayne Rooney, Michael Ballack, Thierry Henry, John Terry and Steven Gerrard.

United no longer command the largest yearly revenues, with their £158m surpassed by Real Madrid (£191m), Barcelona (£169m) and Juventus (£164m).

true i agree with you the Arsenal name is growing. However having said that you do have quality players anyway.

1. Henry
2. Van Persie
3. Cesc
4. Denilson
5. Rosicky
6. Diaby

and the list goes on you do have quality there without doubt

all that fuss made when the yanks took charge , we are now the most valuble club in the world , come on you reds , thanks for the info joe

only club that can buy any player they want is chelski with their massive financial owner, clubs like united, real, etc have lot of money but not enough to buy any player they want.

and Ronaldo will soon be in the highest earning footballers table soon, hes gon get a new £100,000 a week contract at united soon and if his success carries on he'll get some big sponsorship deals.

it really is amazing that a club like arsenal could be number 3 in the world. david dein and arsene wenger are legends.

BTW i'm an aresnal fan and imho we have only 3 really top class players:

henry
cesc
gallas

there are 3/4 more top players by premiership standards:

toure
lehman
van persie
gilberto

denilson has the potential to be top class.

if we get some tough, proper leaders into the team we could do something in the champions league again.

that league must piss tottenham and man city fans right off. they are a long way off being one of the top 20 teams on the field. they've really under achieved.
