Malaysia Grand Prix Result, NAPSTER DO NOT READ

The difference between Hamilton and mansell, Schuey is...imo, he is making a carreer of it whereas they drove for the love of it, yes they were paid big money but thats because they were good, so is Hamilton but a little conservative compared to them. Schuey had balls, he didnt always play by the rules but thats because he hated to lose. Mansell and Senna (rip) were exciting risk takers.

btw...you may all laugh at this but I think Jenson is a bloody good driver and wish he was in a fast car to see what he could do. I wish he had stayed at Williams or went back to them like he said he would.

When Button came on the scene I bet someone that he would be champion within 3 years.
I've been disappointed in him ever since.
To me Senna is the pinnacle of what a racing driver should be.

jenson does well considering the car he is in i wish he could get into a team with a bit more poke

I also think it was fixed, i think bernie and max called um in and said chuck the title away or we will fine ya or penalize ya good style. at the start of the last race i remember martin asking bernie who he thought should win the title and he said " i would like to see kimi win as lewis will have his day" and that said it all, and for the gearbox goin into neutral or loosing gear for a few seconds...... well as i say i think its fixed

Hi Ciamcool
Nice to meet you. I forgot about that interview with Bernie, I thought it a strange reply at the time. Totally unexpected.
You see, more pieces of the jigsaw fall in to place.

So your saying mc heatin paid a huge fine and lost out on millions and made there drivers lose, that's an even bigger loss to them I guess on the strength of that their car must of been 99% ferrari !

How can you even start to compare him with the F1 greats, he's only just started for goodness sake

 Aggression and daring is something that you cannot learn. The chance are if you drive like Miss Daisy now you'll continue to drive like her later in your carrer.

I want to see motor racing at its finest and not some human/computer guide the car around the track as fastish as the car can go.

LOL and those conspiracy theories are well, just plain stupid. Stop making crap up that is unsubstantiated.

we have all got our own views on f1, meself i think bernie, max un ferrari run the show. Aint it strange that when ferrari's ideas and mods on their car get pinched by rivals, the rival team gets punished?? Yet back in the days of active suspension when williams were pissing all over ferrari it gets banned cos williams had an unfair advantage and the other teams would take to long to develope the technology.............Strange????
Dont ya think ????? mmmmmmm????

Fararri cheat just as much as anyone else out their ! just that they have the right people in there pocket.

As far as last season and the bald tyre syndrome goes any driver worth weight would of just come in and said f**k you change the tyres (unless he was forced to stay out) which may of been the case (lol).

The engine/gearbox cut out ?????? ermmm.

Bernies comment about who he thinks would win the championship PRICELESS in my opinion.

The more they get rid of the driver aids the better the racing will get, I think they should all have to run off the shelf engines and the same fuel then we might see some drivers shinning through.

Do you actually believe that the FIA would or indeed could allow McLaren to win the Championship after taking the constructor points away. Would never happen.
If they had taken the driver's points away and banned them for rest of season, the public would have lost interest in their millions. The sponsers and the like would have been furious and without them there is no F1.
Bernie and his sidekicks know that.
How come Ferrari didn't complain about the drivers not being penalised.
Use you head.

You just cant talk to these mclaren fans can you, lol

To be honest la, the last time i can honestly say i supported "a" team was back in the days with mansell and Patrese @ williams. In my eyes since the likes of senna, mansel, prost and even Patrese they made the race exciting, you never knew how the race would go.As much as i hate to say it schuey has been in a league of his own, i just wish he had had better competition, i think if you would of put him in a ford sierra he would have given half the grid a good run for their money lol "ya know what i mean", these sort of drivers when everything is going against um like in qualifying say they qualify 10th they have got one aim no matter how or what it takes they must think i will finish 1st.As i say apart from schuey and Häkkinen in the last 10 yrs these two were the only ones that could grab the race by the scruff of the neck and pull summat out the bag.
And this is where i say again lol i dont support "a" team but i can see summat in hamilton, he dont like to loose and when people put him against the likes of mansell, senna and shuey for example they only got that "great" status from years of experience and considering he has completed only 1 season and smashed loads of records,10 yrs from now we will be putting his name up there with them.
cheers

I remember that era. Traction control was banned and rightfully so. It took the driving element and clutch control of of the drivers hands which meant the computer was effectively controlling the car. The Williams was so far ahead of the pack that there simply was no competition (aside from Benetton IIRC). It became more of a car thing than a question of driver skill.

Since then there have been numerous changes in F1 to make it more equal placing more emphasis on driver skill than computer circuitry. If you haven't seen this change in the past twenty years I'd suggest a new TV set (widescreen if possible)

Well i tell ya what i'll do, i will get up extra early on 4 april to watch the cars in Bahrain and see if i can see any difference in the cars. And if i cant perhaps you can give me 20 "one for each year" of all these MASSIVE CHANGES ive missed, maybe it's my eye's cos the cars look exactly the same on me 14" portable as they do on my 1080p 46" lcd, but then again it might be because i'm watching it through sly so i will double check and put on me 6900 and see if i can see a difference.I'll get back to ya :proud:

And if the mc cheatin car is "99%" ferrari and he drives like miss daisy or a drone as you put it why is it pissed all over the last world champion in the same car, equalled the current world champion on podiums last year and has all this:

* Most consecutive podiums from debut race: 9 - Australian GP 2007-British GP 2007, (previous record was 2 by Peter Arundell - Monaco GP 1964-Dutch GP 1964)[62]
* Most consecutive podiums for a British driver: 9 - Australian GP 2007-British GP 2007(tied with Jim Clark - Belgian GP 1963-South African GP 1963)[63]
* Youngest driver to lead the World Championship: 22 years, 4 months, 8 days - at the Bahrain GP 2007 (Previous Record was 23 years, 7 months, 22 days by Fernando Alonso at the Malaysian GP 2005[64]
* Most wins in a debut season: 4, Canadian, USA, Hungarian and Japanese GPs 2007 (equalling Jacques Villeneuve, European, British, Hungarian and Portuguese GPs 1996)
* Most pole positions in a debut season: 6, Canadian, USA, British, Hungarian, Japanese and Chinese GPs 2007 (Previous record was 3 by Juan-Pablo Montoya, German, Belgian and Italian GPs 2001)

in only his first yr????

Ye ur right he is totally cack

P.S While i've got some spare change in me pocket, let us know what WIDESCREEN you have and i'll go and buy it so i can see these MASSIVE changes
cheers

So according to your stats Hamilton is the best loser ever? Sounds typically like a British comment to me.

Read my posts with both eyes open as you seem to be disillusioned about the comments I have made. I made a comment on Hamiltons non aggressive nature in a F1 car. I have no idea why you have split your pint all over yourself in a frenzy about the best driver that never was.

Your rhetoric mirrors that of The Sun Stop sensationalising a driver that has won fook all.

Don't know why I tangle with noobs. You now have enough posts to download some cable hacks. Enjoy your porn. :)

I aint disillusioned m8, all i've done in my post's is too give my view on f1 and it's drivers. As i have said before in the last 20 yrs we've only had a handfull of "Great" drivers and agree with you they should have all "stock" cars which would sort out the boys from the men, but when you say things like:
" and those conspiracy theories are well, just plain stupid. Stop making crap up that is unsubstantiated"
" he drives like a drone"
"he drives like miss daisy"

Smokes it's his first season??? if he goes out and drives like you want more "Aggression and to be more daring" and comes off the track all the time you'd be calling him all the names under the sun, if you cant see now he's gunna be a "great" driver i suggest you get a new WIDESCREEN set and wipe the ale off your face and open your eyes, cos this season he will be f1 champion!

Also i aint here for the cable hacks no good for me lol

P.s put your money where ya mouth is we'll have a wager "£10 says he will be f1 champion this season"

in or out???

How anyone on this thread can mention Nigel Mansell in the same sentence as Ayrton Senna as being a great driver is beyond me
