Anyone got a decent mac sniffer?
tried the sorn53 one but it keeps crashing when scanning for macs, all the files are in the right place in c/: and commands have been done in cmd, it does everything else apart from collecting macs on vmdg480.

cheers

Type arp -a in command prompt it will show a list of mac addresses and their corresponding IP address, if it's just your local network your interested in.

I used "DHCP Force by l33fpl4y4" just the other day, it's a golden oldie, but still does the trick. Connect the PC directly to the modem (via network lead) and then hit the DHCP tab at the top left and start sniffing. Your going to have to leave it for 24 hours or so, but it will find what your after.

Or you could use Wireshark but I used to use DHCP Force and it was the best back in the Der Engel days over at TCN-ISO.net

If you use Wireshark let me know how it works for you with the modem connected directly to your PC, it should pick up what you're looking for if you set the filters correctly...

do people still sniff macs and trade?
