The mac address is only tied to the device @imyeman2000 mate.
No harm at all. But when you connect supplier will see your IP and what your watching and how long.
(so stay off red hot yummy mummys)

I always recommend a VPN for many reasons when streaming IP*V.

Just like Conditional Access Module (CAM) client logs can be seen from provider.
(But not with a VPN)
