I read the other week there's SW were you can add STBEMU to the mag so you can use MACS

I personally do not recommend anyone tying there line to a mac address. Both on STBemu and magboxes.
Even more to the point after infomir betrayed those who have been affected with blocks my advise is to see the box out until it packs in and certainly DO NOT buy a new STB from them.
Although there has been a fix this was only done by reverse firmware.
A suppplier should be able to edit the mac address (but not all can)
If your running a user/pass you can run multiroom and/or add it to another device.
(not so easy tied to mac)

if you use stbemu ou can change the mac therefor multi room it. stbemu allows you to change the mac per sub

just curious i have a mag and im using the portal, could i use the m3u file on a different without provider knowing
