lost epg

Hello All I am new to this.Have tried search but cannot find any post on this problem.I have a pace 4000n with cr1 which stopped working a few days ago, i can get into engineers menu ok network id seems ok.when i go into epg menu it shows nothing in channel boxes.I think telewest area Maidstone Has gone vod.I have tried powering down and up box and left in stream for 2 days still same,have tried to do forced update but stays on cr1 or is box now no good
