Ableton live might be what you are looking for... A lot of DJs use it... There is a learning curve though...

Cheers Joe that worked, I used to have that but forgot about it. Cheers for the link too, the misses is well chuffed. I've just sorted our first dance song out with it!

the Proggy i use to do my mixes , withch alllows u to edit loop is Mix Meister Fusion its the dogs , im still using the old version 7.02 just like it over the new versions .

Agreed, mixmeister is my choice too, program is the danglies ;-)

Begineer - Virtual DJ is a good place to start

Advanced - Traktor with a good controller is hard to beat - newer versions much easier on the eye too!

Ableton is good but more geared towards sequencing than just simple straight forward track mixing. Plus, it's mentally hard to learn!
