Eveining all,

I am looking to purchase a standalone Air Conditioning unit and was wondering if anyone here could reccomend any??

I have come across these before but they have all been pretty crap, so am looking for one that at least does the job its meant to do and secondly don't really wanna spend an arm and leg on it either.

Any advise on the above would be much appreciated, thanks in advance for your time and help.

You want one with atleast 12000 BTU to cool a large room....plus they are fecking noisy!

Or to find out the size you need:

Multiply the Length by the Breadth by the Height of the room to be air-conditioned. This will give you the cubic capacity of the room.

Example: 7.6m x 3.7m x 2.5m = 70.3 cubic metres

70.3 cubic metres x 141 = 9,912Btu's (9,900Btu's)

Ac

In my opinian a split air conditioner is better, so the noisy bit stays out side the room. At the moment MAKRO have a nice one for £249.99 +VAT.
12000BTU
They also have a stand alone unit for £169.99+VAT--12000BTU
