Locking adult channels..

enigma only saves it's settings when it exits, so you need to go to
the shutdown menu and reboot the box after you lock the channels.

Does anyone now if there is a default password for locking channels. Whenever I tried to lock these it did not ask me to enter the a pin. They are now locked and if I try to unlock them it asks me for a 4 digit pin which I don't know (as I did not enter one)

FTP to your box and go to this folder...

/var/tuxbox/config/enigma

There's a file called config

View it (or copy to your PC) and look for lines like...

i:/elitedvb/pins/parentallock=
i:/elitedvb/pins/setuplock=

These are hex numbers. Use your windows calculator in Scientific mode, click on Hex, enter the value in your file (last 4 numbers, not with the zeros in front of them), click Dec and that will be your pin.

After locking and hiding your chanels re-booting the box by pressing and holding the button on the front of your dreambox for several seconds does the same trick and as said by obwan the channels stay hidden even if you unplug your box every night.

To save your settings you must re-boot the box by 1 of the 2 methods above as whipping the plug out and back in again does NOT re-boot enigma it just wastes ur time hiding the channels to start with
