local area connection firewalled help

as the title says how do i get it so it is'nt firewalled please. I had to reformat
and i cannot figure it out. any help appreciated. Thanks inadvance.

if it's XP, go to control panel > security centre.

alternatively, go to control panel > network connections.
right click the LAN connection > properties > advanced tab
