Liams Enigma transponders but no channels?

I have been playing with Liams Enigma to try and resurrect a suspected faulty tuner. The manual scan picked up 118 transponders but no channels. The signal readings after the transponder is found are

SNR 94%
AGC 60%
BER 50-110

Should I try a bruteforce scan ( how do you get enigma IP address/net setings to ftp bruteforce) or is there anything else I could try?

Bruteforce option is already in the image I believe. You can edit the network settings by going into: Main Menu-->Setup-->Expert Setup-->Communications.

I think that your tuner is probably 100% faulty; not just 'suspected'. Have you tried other images and got similar results?

Liam

Yes m8, Is it knackered even althought it picks up the transponders? I must have saved an older image.

I have posted the bootlog for the box, I have highlighted the area seems dodgey to me anybody capable of translating whats wrong or how if possible fix it?

Hi P4TCA,

the line "[newcamd-v6.03] CA_SEND_MSG: Remote I/O error" from your bootlog is very similar to "[camd] CA_SEND_MSG: Remote I/O error".

mgb would definitely be the best person to confirm this, but if I read his previous responses correctly, there may be an issue with the SEC chip.

just my 2p worth

mg

Yes, these are the same errors. The only difference is the [newcamd-v6.03] and [camd] parts, which relate to the softcam being used in that particular image. If mgb says that the sec chip was faulty on the other box, then this is also true for this[i/] box unfortunately.

Liam

Thanks again guys, need to consider my next move.
