I am thinking of getting this tv as it is going for £1000. Basically I am attracted by the size and price and do not know too much about the specs. Is there anything I should be aware of before I jump in head first?

Ye that's a good price for that one.

It's not full 1080p HD but what do you want for £1k lol.

Looks like a good deal to me.
I've seen some LG 50" Plasmas being fed normal dvds and they look great for that as well as HD stuff. Cant comment on normal SD picture though but at a grand it seems like a BARGAIN
