I din't think they would have won appeal.

Leeds United have failed in their bid to claim back the 15 points they were deducted by the Football League.
The decision by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators means Leeds will not win automatic promotion from League One, though they are in the play-offs.
An independent three-man arbitration reached its verdict behind closed doors in London, ruling the League had not acted unfairly when docking the points. The penalty was a punishment for breaking competition insolvency rules.#

Leeds had already been docked 10 points for entering administration at the end of last season while still in the Championship.
They felt the additional penalty during the current campaign had been unduly harsh.
Any return of points would have upset Leeds' League One promotion rivals, with Doncaster and Carlisle likely to have taken legal action. Leaders Swansea are confirmed as champions.

so it they should, why place a penalty on other teams who are guilty of nothing.

Still cant work out why they got docked 15 points yet others only get 10 point deduction for breaking the same rule.Double standards

because they deliberately and intentionally tried to cheat the rules and the clubs creditors, personally i would of deducted them another 15 points for having the cheek to appeal

They got 10 points deducted in Championship when they went in adninistration even though they were sneaky about it, it was still legal.

They got 15 points deducted because they came out of administration without a compulsory volutary agreement with the creditors, (a totlally different charge from the 10 points), the league could have thrown them out completely because the broke the insolvencey rules but they gave them the option of a 15 point penalty which Leeds agreed to....then they tried another sneaky move and filed an appeal even though they said they were happy to escape being thrown out and said they wouldn't appeal.

They got what was more than fair.

Glad they failed to be honest because we (Forest) now still have a chance of automatic promotion tomorrow.
COME ON U REDS

yes forest got what they wanted, the whole league got what they wanted(leeds case to fail) and us jacks have got more than what we wanted lol we ended up with the championship:Clap:

Just to clarify things from a Leed fan perspective. League rules actually state that when an appeal is lodged the points should be reinstated until the appeal is heard. That way only Leeds would have suffered if they lost their appeal. Only reason Leeds came out of admin without valid CVA is because HMRC appealed at the last minute, interestingly football league also voted against the CVA so slightly ironic they then penalise us for coming out without one! If the league are consistent then Luton etc, who will also have their CVAs challenged by HMRC, will also start next season on -15 pts - could be a death knell for clubs with less support than Leeds - we will see. Other interesting point is it appears to be fine for the football league to break their own rules - Cardiff in Europe despite rules stating they can't represent England in europe! Anyway, decision has been made and we move on. I must admit to being mighty glad Notts Forest did go up automatically, wouldn't have wanted to play them!
