daviidh posted a sticky at top of the page about the led simm what is it and how do you use it does it read bk +ird? just interested

Have a read mate there are lots of posts on this one.
It is a replacment simm you put into the pace boxes to read the bk and ird.
There is a bit of soldering to do on the under side of the board though.
There is a seriesof leds on the simm and these light up in turn to give you the binery of the bk and ird.

I'd get a jtag anyway m8, You'll need to jtag the boxes to set the netid's unless the boxes are from a pureNTL area and are going to be used in a pureNTL area or if you need to reset the box for any reason?
