Used to have a Vespa myself over 30 years ago. Knocked about with the Mecca Mods, mohair suit and parka coat. Did the Brighton and Scarborough run twice a year. Northen Soul and Motown, all night dances and so on. Sigh! Happy days.

Know wot m8, been a biker all me life form the age of 11 and when its in yer blood it remains. Had some beauties. My favourite was me Triton. A 1962 T120 Bonnie engine with a Norton 1957 gearbox and Norton featherbred frame. Top half racing fairing, twin consec carbs, 4 leader front brake (2 inc spokes, rest was brake). Used to do 120mph which is nothing by todays standards but nothing could touch it in its time. Got knocked off me Yam 500 twin about 12 years through no fault of me own, ended up with leg in plaster for 6 months, what a drag. Its so easy now just to jump in me escort van to go anywhere but its not the same. Think I'll have another this summer. Arguments with the missus, fed up or depressed, got no dosh, then no worries. Just tank up and come rain or shine just ride (no destination, just ride and forget about everything). FREEDOM!

speccy, when youre online next i,ll send you the pics, its a 1969 lambretta gp 225 , yes 225 engine , bought it from york, custom built, just like my nokia media master , lol,

yep afraid so you superbikers this hairdryer is like shit off a shovel, racing crank aluminium head ,racing exhaust ,metalflake sprayjob,
eh speccy may have met you, lol, i used to frequent scarbourgh in the 80,s about 1981 was our last jaunt down there, do you remember the authur francis custom lambrettas , they where just being built then , remeniss, remeniss, remeniss, lol, regards scoot

Sure. Also remember the Wildcat conversion kits for the bretta and the Wal Phillips injection for the Vespa. By the way, you forgot to mention whether your scoot has go faster stripes on it.

what you want next , lol, live video feed of me makin love to my missus to prove the pics are mine, lol, or a pic of todays newspaper to prove its mine lol
, regards scoot

and correction speccy wildcat converstion was for the vespa only,

If you are right then I stand corrected but if memory serves me well they did 2 covesion kits. The 175 was upped to 200 with replacement barrel and pistons and the 200 was upped to 225.

Picture this guys:
Late 1960’s, 12/13 year old, riding the streets of the local housing estate, on a Honda 50 step through. No tyres, no exhaust, no proper suppressed plug cap. Three’s up!
Wiping everyone’s telly out (405 line sets).
I WAS a naughty boy LOL (I don’t think the residents liked me!) )

First Bike I think was a Villiers Motored Excelsior. Also had this lot before I was 15. Lambretta 125, Lambretta 100 (I think), Vespa 150, Bella scooter (with foot change), Bantam 175, Various Mopeds. Inc Raleigh runabouts, Lambretta, and a German machine with a roller driven front wheel. Another Villiers Engined 200cc, and about 6 or 7 Steppy’s.
I have no recollection how I acquired them all LOL.

Last bike on the road (Legal) Honda CD175 in 1975. Couple of Speedway Bikes & Trail Bikes since, but I got the most enjoyment on the little old field bikes with my mates!

Those were the days, my friend
