What's the best [simple] PVR addon that allows timers/recording?

I set Kodi 18.1 up on my Raspberry Pi last night using PVR IPTV Simple Client Kodi but when I tried to set a timer it said timers are not supported on this backend. I'm after a replacement PVR addon where I can type in my M3U and XMLTV (EPG) urls to watch live TV and have the ability to record certain programmes directly to the SD card.

I would stick with Kodi 18, so uninstall 19 turn off auto updates on the android store and reinstall 18

Same for me I didn’t update and still use 18. Best option imo....
