Just want to clear up my noob questions

Hey there guys

This is what i understand from the guides in a nutshell

1 I have to identify my drive and firmware
2 I have to back up my firmware incase i feck up
3 I have to load up a hacked firmware
4 I then burn a game to a disc and it should work

Lol i blatenly know im a mile off but i need a starting point.

I HAVE to connect to a sata motherboard right?

i think i read somewhere there was a way of spilling a sata cable to allow u to do the hack without opening the box. am i mistaken?

there is an attachment now available that does so but you still need to open it up for the first time
