jtag

i have tried every thing what helping mates told me to do but i cant get box by using jtag.
i am thinking could be my 25 pin parralal cable is faulty. because it gives error pc is not connected .
plese any idia.

hi m8 where did u get jtag from....was it jabs ?? if it was the unversal 1 u may have to join pins 8 n 15 together take off connection cover and join from there,,,they are numbered

Do what I did, remove cover from LPT socket on jtag and plug exposed pins directly in to LPT port on PC (in other words - connect to PC without using the LPT cable). I had to do this as I didn't have a cable. It just means having the STB right next to your PC, oh yeah and mine's from tmc, too. HTH
