Ive got myself a sexy new pronged jtag (oooh!!) and i have my 4010 spread open and ready.

Stupid Question #1
-------------------------

Does the jtag go in the parallel port of the pc? I know its the same shape

Not So Stupid Question #2
----------------------------------

If the answer to the above question is yes then due to the screws sticking out of wither side of the jtag and the port i cant fit them together. Dont want to start taking things apart but if i have to i will. Any suggestion or sarcastic answers?

Pretty Average Question #3
------------------------------------

If the answer to 2 involves me buying a cable where can i get one from at a reasonable price?

Pointless Question #4
----------------------------

I like mixing Sprite and Irn-Bru. Are there any other tasty combinations of soft drinks?

(1) Yes
(2) Normally people use a male - female 25 way lead as the cable on the jtag tends to be quite short. This will overcome the problem you have.
(3) Any computer store should have these.
(4) Whatever your favourite, try it with a dash of vodka.

N02 just remove the screws and cover attachment, should plug in then.

hi mate when you got it plugged in, i'd use bke2.2 to get the bk

it's dead easy,

boot the box in engineers menu (plug power in as you hold up and down on box for 30sec) doesnt actually need to be connected to a tv!

install bke2.2

(also run bke2.2 in windows 98 mode)

then go to c:/ drive , then program files, then bke folder,

run the drvLoad and open the driver from the bke folder (it ends .sys)

Click install, and then click run. (it will say in the bottom of the window driver running)

now run bke2.2 from the desktop, and go to the jtag tab,
select pace 4000/4010 from the options and click connect.

when connected it shows your IRD and bk numbers,

All your advice has certainly help me along. Thanx Guys.

Got the box up and running with a tit2 card. Seemed fine until this morning.

Now when i turn it on it either just displays the word pace on the led display or just some random symbols
