You need to use a jtag called a "pate jtag". You may find more info on zacky files.

look under jtag there is something about the sagem and I know you have to use the patel jtag.

i made up a patel jtag but no go something to do wit the value or commands

copyed from an other site

look under the box for the serial it is in decimal.
Serial id : 53XXXXXXXXXX (this is the box number)

To convert it, ignore the first 2 numbers and enter the numbers marked by the XXXXXX's into windows calculator then choose the hex button to see it in hexadecimal format, and you should see something like:
5F 60 XX XX this is the IRD of the box.
The big black boxes all have IRD's that begin 5F i think.

Now you need the boxes boxkey, this will be a little harder to get but not impossible.

The big black irish sagem boxes are very similar to the spanish sagem 4240 reciever so head over to zackyfiles and have a mooch through their sagem section:

You can jtag the big black boxes to get the boxkey files of particular intrest are:
Jtag_Sagem4240.zip
and
BK_sag4240pt.zip

Patel_jtag_soft_gsp.zip

Since the CPU in the sagem boxes is 5v tolerant you can use the simpler resistor based design of jtag lead instead of the one with the buffer that is used on the pace and samsung boxes (you could use these but would have to find a 0 volt and 5v connection for them i think) so build a cheapy patel jtag lead and connect it up to the box as the jtag tutorials show.

The only difference between the irish boxes and spanish boxes is i think the location of the IRD and BK in memory.
I think (but im not sure) that the irish sagem box has its IRD and BK stored somewhere around the location 0xFFC7FFCE0 i think although you might want to try location 0x0007FFCE0 as well, just follow the spanish jtag tutorials but try these addresses and keep an eye out for your IRD number in the returned bytes the BK should be just before it i think.

Much of this may be wrong though as i have never seen an irish box, and i dont know about the silver small sagem boxes.

this is not my work but hope it helps
