Jet wash will not switch on

Would anyone be able to offer advice on the above, Bought a cheapish jet wash from B & Q a couple of years ago, used it probably 6 times – very light use. Went to use it before xmas and it worked for a few seconds then stopped as in title, I could take it back but not with this covid etc.

I know very little about electrics but it seems as if some electrical component has failed, I have a very cheap multi meter, tested the switch (black, at the back facing away from the camera in the picture) and it seems to be fine. I wonder if the two black things, shrink wrapped (are they some sort of solenoid?) could be at fault? Any advice please.

Found the fault. Attached to the pump is a micro/flow switch, took this off the the pump and tried it manually (push switch) it's a sort of plastic cam that slides back and forth depending on the pressure, I sprayed the switch with silicone, and it worked!
