I just saw some advert, and it was on about the 747, and i remembered always being confused on how a jet engine actually worked. I used to think it was all about some sort of rocket fuel that burnt so ferociously, it propelled the plane forward, as apposed to a propeller. Lol
But then i remember always seeing what looked like a rotating metal spiral st the front, and thought, that seems like a state of the art propeller, which completely confused my limited brain power.
